Care Groups
Care Groups exist to provide care and support to each other in our times of need, and to provide fellowship within the larger church setting. Groups consist of people that find themselves in the same “place of life” stage.
Members of Care Groups meet once a month for social events. Past events that some groups have done are: bowling, mini golf, corn maze, hymn sings, Christmas parties, board games nights, potluck dinners, car rallies, etc.
Most importantly, Care Groups provide organized care and support for those going through times of need. Members of Care Groups provide meals for one another during stressful times, such as after the birth of a baby, after surgery, or after the loss of a loved one. Members organize baby showers for each other, and wedding showers once those babies have grown up. Members also provide support and behind the scenes help at funerals and memorial services.
From young couples yet to start a family, to retirees living in the “prime” of their lives, and everywhere in between, Sturgeon Valley has a Care Group for everyone! For more information on Care Groups, or to join one, please call the Church at 780–458-3777.
