Small Groups

A Small Group is…..

a small group of individuals, (usually up to 12 people) who gather together regularly to help each other grow in spiritual maturity and service. The Small Group meeting is a time for prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and accountability; but, Small Group does not end with the weekly meeting--it continues through the week as people practice being the church toward one another.

Each group tries to meet once a week.

Each group selects….

when and where - usually in the home of one of its members

• the format for each meeting.

• the materials to be studied, depending on the needs and particulars of the individuals in each group.

• There will normally be a leader and a co-leader in each group to facilitate the study.

A Small Group provides the opportunity…….

• to grow in our relationship with God and our understanding of His Word;

• to get to know others and be known by others;

• to be strengthened in our walk with God and the application of His Word;

• to be cared for and to care for others;

• to be cared for in times of crisis and to learn from others who have experienced similar challenges;

• to find help and encouragement in our attempts to reach out to those in need of God’s love, and to be encouraged and supported in our efforts to realize our full potential and exercise our gifts and abilities for others. Opportunity for;

• Bible study, prayer, mutual caring, worship, fellowship, and evangelism.

Small Group Meetings are held on different evenings throughout the week in different homes throughout the area.
