The Lord is My Shepherd
Who is God? What is He like? How do you find out more about Him? You answer can be influenced by your assumptions or conclusions. Some have concluded that God can’t be discovered, or God doesn’t exist. Or if there is a God, we can’t prove His existence. Therefore, why worry about God? They live as if there is no God. Others may acknowledge a higher power for when things get rough. But such a power is vague and not very knowable. Many here trust the triune God of the Bible who has revealed Himself as one in essence yet in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Yet affirming such a belief is very different than actually trusting God through life’s troubles. Where is God in all this? Does God care about what happened in our lives this past week, or year?
