Romans 8:18-28
Someone is Praying for You

You might have heard it said to you this week or even this morning or said it yourself, “I will pray for you.”  Now when we say that we need to do it.  You see, words are not enough.  We actually need to pray. It is wonderful to know that someone is praying for us, especially when we are faced with difficult circumstances. Now when we look at Scripture, we find that Jesus prayed for his disciples just before he went to the cross saying (John 17:11b – ESV) “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me.” Or (NIV) “Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name – the name you gave me.”  17:15 “I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.” Jesus did not stop there.  He went on to pray for those who would come after them, that would include us.
