Good afternoon SVBC Family,

We trust this email finds you all keeping well. As a Staff and Leadership, we continue to lift you up to our all-sufficient Lord, El Shaddai.

We’re making this announcement today as Alberta has just declared a state of health emergency, and we’ve had to react quickly in decisions that affect us all. The items below may pertain to you, and our participation together on Sunday morning.

Picnic: With a heavy heart, we have decided to cancel our Annual Church Picnic. We share your disappointment in this, and we understand that many of you were looking forward to getting together. Therefore, we encourage you to fellowship outside in the parking lot after the service. We will have coffee ready to serve too! We are praying that there will be a time soon where we can get together, and celebrate God’s blessings in our lives.

Service Time: Because of the new restrictions limiting us to 180 people in the Sanctuary, we will be moving back to 2 services, socially distanced, at 9:30 and 11:00AM. Masks will be mandatory for everyone in attendance above the age of 2. Our 11:00AM service will have ASL Interpretation for those in our ASL community.

Overflow: There will be an overflow area available for those who are not comfortable sitting in the Sanctuary, but still want to participate here at the church. The overflow area will be in the Fireside Room for this coming Sunday, September 19th.

Live-stream: Our Live-stream is up and running to three locations for those who do not wish to attend in person, but still want to participate with us on Sunday morning. We are currently streaming to three locations; SVBC Church Online, to YouTube at our Sturgeon Valley Baptist Church YouTube channel, and to Facebook under the church name. Links to these three locations are available by clicking here.

Parents: Please sign in your children, ages 3 – Grade 4, at the Gym beginning 15 minutes prior to each service. Mrs. Sheri will be there to greet you, and check the children in. Grades 5 - 8 will be dismissed during the service for a special Service Project with Mr. Matt. Our Nursery and Toddler rooms are remaining open and unstaffed for those parents with children who would like to use them.

We appreciate your understanding during this time, and we look forward to worshipping God with you no matter the circumstances. God bless you, and we hope to see you on Sunday.

In Christ’s love and for His sake,
SVBC Leadership
