Dear SVBC Church Family:

Greetings to you and your family as we continue to walk through this unusual time together.  We pray for God’s continued strength, wisdom and protection over all of you.

As August ends, we all face decisions about re-engagement and our level of participation at school, work and in the community.  The leadership and staff of SVBC has also been thinking, planning and praying about the ministries of the church starting in September.

In light of the relaunching of a form of children’s ministries on Sundays, we anticipate an increase in attendance from what we have currently (60-100).  We estimate that we could safely seat 180 people in our church sanctuary.  Yet that may be too close for comfort for some of you considering a return.  Therefore, we are planning to have a second Sunday morning service to give more space for those exploring the possibility of returning.   The schedule would look like this:

September 13th

  • 8:45 AM
    • Doors open for first service
  • 9:00 AM
    • In-person Worship Service with Live-stream
    • Children’s Ministry after the opening part of the Worship Service
      • Baby Room: open for nursing mothers
      • Ages 3-Grade 3: Gymnasium
      • Grades 4-6: Fireside Room
  • 10:00 AM
    • First service dismisses; Parents pick up children from Kid’s Ministries; All exit building
    • Cleaning of touch-points – Washrooms; Pews; Foyer; Kid’s Rooms; Baby Room
  • 10:40 AM
    • Doors open for second service
  • 11:00 AM
    • In-person Worship Service with Live-stream
    • Children’s Ministry after the opening part of the Worship Service
      • Baby Room: open for nursing mothers
      • Ages 3-Grade 3: Gymnasium
      • Grades 4-6: Fireside Room
  • 12:00 PM
    • Second service dismisses; Parents pick up children from Kid’s Ministries; All exit building.
We will aim for this on a trial basis and the Leadership will evaluate as we go.  To help us further, would you take 1 minute to fill out the survey below? Thank you for your prayers and interest in SVBC.

Sincerely, Pastor Tom
