Psalm 23
A Walk with the Shepherd

Intro: Good morning, Church. It is summer so I want to do something a little different today. This morning … I want to take you on an imaginary hike.  That I hope will come back to your mind, as this summer you see some of the beauty of God’s creation.  But, as we begin, turn to the person beside you and a tell them where your favourite place to camp or hike is …

If you were to ask me what my favourite hike was, I would say it was the hike to the Plain of Six Glaciers that begins at Lake Louise. The hike begins at the beautiful Lake Louise Hotel the path snakes around the prettiest lake in the world  and then winds for 4 km. through trees, around Mt. Lefroy and ends up at this breathtaking view at Abbot’s Pass where there just happens to be a wonderful tea house. As we take this trip today can you imagine that we are following a short way behind a shepherd and his flock as they make this same trip just ahead of us.
