Psalm 27:1-3

Sometimes I hear, read or see something that stops me in my tracks.  It shocks me, or sobers me or exposes something in me that I need to address.  This happened often during my time away.  One example occurred while reading the book “Finishing Well in Life and Ministry.” Here’s the part that stopped me.  “It was in the Garden of Eden that we sacrificed intimacy with God for information.  Because of the fall, we fear intimacy and pursue information.”[1]   They talked about this with respect to our relationship with God.  Do we desire intimacy with God or only information about Him?
