Luke 23:1-25
The Easter Story - The Trials Of Jesus

It’s easy to judge other people.  It’s easy to look down on someone you disagree with.  We can look down on people with different political views, different interpretations of a Scripture passage or different worship preferences.   If we have to wait longer than we think we need to, we can quickly judge those in charge.   We can look down on people because of the way they dress or talk or look.

Then we hear about those really bad people.  They did something terrible that hurt many.  We discuss what could be done to deal with the people who do such things.  We hope to discover some deep problem in them.  Then we can comfort ourselves that they are the exception and we’re nothing like them.
