Hebrews 10:32-39

Memories.  We all have them.  We need them to function at some level in our lives.  It’s helpful to remember our way to work or school.  Think about how much time we would waste if we had to relearn our path each day.  It’s helpful to remember people.  Then we don’t have to start over with them every time we meet them.  Even our muscles have memory.  They can be trained to repeat actions, so we become more skilled at what we practice.  Some memories we’d like to forget.  They contain pain, sorrow; maybe shame.  Yet we sometimes have to work through them so we can experience healing.  Some memories are fantastic – Maybe a wedding day or the moment of a child’s birth.  We may remember a family vacation or a significant graduation.  Or we may remember a favorite summer getaway or special time with friends.
