The impetus behind the sermons on how to Recreate Irresistible as a church came from a book by Andy Stanley which began with a simple story. Andy and his son where in Beijing connecting with some orphanages that their churches were sponsoring. When they were given a tour of a local leather goods factory. As the tour ended the owner turned and ask if the group had any questions. To everyone’s surprise one of the young female plant managers turned to Andy and asked, ‘Are you a pastor’. She said that she recognized his voice, and then added ‘I listened to your sermon ‘How good is good enough’ - over and over again, and then asked Jesus to live inside me. Before I was empty. Now I am full’. {what a brave thing to say in China} Then she continued ‘I wanted to go to church, but there was no church in my city sometimes I ride a bus for 2 hours to go to church, and the bus ride is very expensive’. Then she added this question ‘why doesn’t everyone in America go to church?’  Andy said, “I am still trying to recover from that question’.
