. I thought I would begin with one of my favourite football stories, it was told to me by a football player friend named Jed Roberts. Jed’s father had played in the CFL. So, Jed’s first game in the CFL (Eskimo/Elk) was a big deal. Jed was on the Kickoff return team. So, when the kickoff happened, Jed ran down the field determined to make a huge tackle. But just as he was about to grab the player from Calgary -  he caught his foot on the turf and tripped, and the Calgary player ran around him for a touchdown (setting a new Labour Day record for the longest punt return). Later in the game on his 2nd kick-return -He was determined to redeem himself. He ran with laser precision to grab the guy with the ball and just as he was about to tackle the player out of nowhere, he was side swiped knocked down, leaving him a little stunned. He staggered to the bench to clear his head.
